PROGRAM: Toronto is a hackathon with the theme to make Toronto the world’s most programmable city, in collaboration with the City of Toronto Open Data team. We will bring together Toronto’s best developers and designers to showcase new ways to leverage Toronto’s open data infrastructure to inform, connect and empower the city in new ways.

PROGRAM: Toronto is on June 20 2025 from 3pm - 7pm at Toronto City Hall (Committee Room 2), on the eve of the inaugural Toronto Tech Week.

About PROGRAM

The PROGRAM event series is a new forum to explore frontiers of software and creativity. PROGRAM was started in Toronto in early 2025 and attracts some of the cities’ most talented developers and creatives. Each event explores a specific technology, facilitated by the people building those tools, with dedicated time for participants to tinker and demo work.

About the Organizers

• Tarun Sachdeva is the creator of the PROGRAM event series. Tarun is the Founder of market.dev, and has been in product leadership roles at Endeavor and Wattpad (acquired by Naver in 2021), BlackBerry and Amazon. Tarun is an active angel investor and holds a BASc in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo. You can find him on X and LinkedIn.
• Sergiy Dybskiy is an engineering leader and community builder based in Toronto. Serge is CTO and Co-founder of Venti, and has held senior development roles at Shopify and Coinbase, as well as CTO / Cofounder at Ruutly (acquired by CareerBeacon in 2021). You can find him on X and LinkedIn.
